Women’s Fund of Community Foundation of Southern Kentucky Provides Generous Grant Aid

In a recent announcement, the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Southern Kentucky has provided an impressive total of $171,000 in funding through their yearly Impact Grant scheme.

Emphasizing the Need for Support in Difficult Times

These funds are intended to support crucial projects and nonprofits that seek to serve women, children, or families in the local community. The amount, which marks an increase from the previous years, has been made available in response to the struggles many entities are currently facing due to economic instability and dips in funding.

“Fundraising is hard right now… we know with inflation and there’s some dips in fundraising… and I’ve already heard that from several nonprofits… so I know this money is going to mean that much more for any growth, any new expansion,” highlighted the foundation.

Distribution of Funds

For this year’s allocation, they will be providing a $100,000 grant, a $51,000 grant, and two $10,000 grants, totaling a hefty $171,000. Each grant is important to not only the recipients, but to the Community Foundation as it strives to meet the increased demand for support and financial aid from local organizations and projects.

Selection Process

The application period for the Impact Grant is set to open shortly. Following the closure of the application period, the Community Foundation will liaise with each applying entity to ascertain their suitability and ultimately determine the grant recipients. This meticulous selection process ensures that funds are allocated to projects and entities that provide the most valuable service to the community.

Benefiting Local Communities

This generous support from the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Southern Kentucky is expected to greatly benefit local communities, especially those groups directly serving women, children and families. By providing these grants, the foundation aims to empower and strengthen these groups, facilitating their critical work and thus fostering healthier and more inclusive communities. This year’s grant scheme is expected to have a strong, widespread impact and is awaited with much anticipation.
