In the sunny city of Dade City, Florida, the Western Kentucky University (WKU) women’s golf team showcased their skills at the Spring Break Shootout, wrapping up the event with an impressive sixth place finish among a competitive field. The tournament took place at the stunning Lake Jovita Golf Club, where rolling greens and challenging fairways posed hurdles that the talented WKU squad tackled head-on.
When the dust settled, the team recorded a total score of 45-over par 897, demonstrating their determination and skill throughout the three-day event. The competition was fierce, with Florida Gulf Coast claiming victory by finishing at 14-over par 866. The second place went to Illinois with a score of 21-over par 873, while both New Mexico State and Stetson tied for third at 37-over par 889.
On the individual front, Emma Bunch from New Mexico State was the standout performer, capturing the individual title with an impressive score of 4-under par 209.
