Volunteer Training Hosted by Hosparus Health Barren River

Bowling Green, Kentucky

Hosparus Health Barren River, a dedicated nonprofit organization, is appealing to community members within its service areas of Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren counties to volunteer their skills and dedication for patient support. The organization will be hosting a comprehensive volunteer training program for fresh applicants in Bowling Green.

Meeting the Call for Volunteerism

Targeting individuals with a passion for community service, the session holds on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 101 Riverwood Ave. Ste B, Bowling Green. The program focuses on sprucing up interested individuals with the appropriate skills and knowledge to aid local patients and families affected by severe illnesses.

“Our volunteers play a critical part in delivering compassionate care to those in need,” commended Volunteer Manager Tiffany Hinton. “This summer, we are thrilled to usher in new volunteers prepared to make a notable impact in the lives of our patients, families, and our community at large.”

A Diverse Range of Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer chances are abundant across Hosparus Health Barren River’s operations. Such opportunities include providing companionship to patients, granting respite for caregivers, supporting grief services, participating in veteran initiatives, and even sharing a love of reading, music, or crafting. Volunteers also can contribute behind the scenes through administrative support, writing letters and cards, making deliveries, and serving on committees.

How to Apply

Those interested in becoming a volunteer can apply at the organization’s website. Even though the specific free training event is on July 20, the organization encourages applicants, who may not be able to attend, to apply now for subsequent sessions. Further volunteer training sessions are poised to occur on September 11 and November 4.

Although the COVID-19 vaccination is no longer mandatory for volunteers, the organization disclosed that there might be specific health prerequisites and documentation that new volunteers may need to provide before joining. Volunteers seeking additional information or assistance with their application are advised to contact Volunteer Manager Tiffany Hinton.
