Dog Dies in Tragic Vehicle Fire at Local Buc-ee’s

Smiths Grove’s Chief of Police, Jason Franks, reported that the fire was limited to the interior of the car. The car belonged to a local couple who were out with their beloved dog, fondly known as Itchy. The innocent canine hero couldn’t escape the incident and suffered severe injuries. Franks expressed his deep remorse, “Itchy was immediately taken to a local vet clinic, but despite the prompt medical attention, the little friend didn’t survive.”

Two members of the local volunteer fire department went above and beyond in their efforts to rescue Itchy. For their selfless gestures, Franks commended the duo, adding, “Our community is filled with great people with big hearts.”

The Smiths Grove Police Department took swift action in containing the situation with the help of the local Fire Department and support from WCSO. The gas pumps are now back in normal operation.
