With great enthusiasm, they organized nearly 40 donation boxes at various Med Center Health hospitals, ensuring that the spirit of giving blossomed this festive season.

A New Milestone

This year’s drive marked a special milestone as it introduced the very first Toys For Tots dropbox at the Medical Center at Albany in Clinton County. Although Chris Meredith initially had some doubts about the box’s success due to the lower foot traffic in the area, the outcome pleasantly surprised him with an overwhelming number of donated toys. Across all of Med Center Health’s facilities in Bowling Green, over 300 toys were successfully gathered, paving the way for Christmas joy for more than 100 children in Warren County.

The holiday support didn’t just stop there. Toys collected from the Medical Center at Russellville were thoughtfully redirected to children residing in nearby Logan County. This seamless coordination showcased the community spirit and readiness to uplift those in need.

Darby Meredith, who has served as a Youth Ambassador for Toys For Tots since 2017, has emphasized how volunteering not only transforms the lives of those receiving help but also enhances her connection to her community. Her family’s commitment extended beyond collecting toys; they rolled up their sleeves and participated in distributing gifts on Christmas Day alongside the Marine Corps League and the Bowling Green Fire Department.
