Bowling Green, KY, brings you an amalgamation of aesthetics and utility with the grand opening of Tommy’s Car Wash. Situated on the former site of Logan’s Roadhouse on Scottsville Road, the newly established car wash service boasts a significant twist to its semblance.
The walls of every Tommy’s Express Car Wash flaunt a distinctive mural intricately painted to represent the town in which the car wash is situated. This time, however, staff members and the artist they collaborated with, Misha Ambrosia, struggled to single out one emblematic place to depict Bowling Green. Consequently, they decided to illustrate an encompassing representation of the city instead.
“There were so many beautiful images while doing our research…Fountain Square, the Corvette Museum…it was a massive undertaking to narrow it down to just one. But then we discovered the striking artwork by Misha Ambrosia. Her vibrant renditions of Fountain Square, among other local sightseeings, were inspirational,” explains Tommy’s Express owner, Tamara Davis.
Ambrosia’s masterpiece beautifully encapsulates Bowling Green’s charm, featuring its elegantly laid-out landscapes and landmarks into an enticing mural. The mural is immediately drawing in locals and visitors alike on-the-go, enhancing the hometown pride and the customer’s experience.
But the allure doesn’t end there. To inaugurate the newly unveiled location, Tommy’s Car Wash has planned a generous act of giving back to the community. All proceeds earned on July 21st will go directly to the Boys & Girls Club, a leading provider of after-school services to young people between the ages of six and eighteen in the Bowling Green area.
The Tommy’s Express staff advises the public to stay attentive of further non-profit days in the upcoming future. The car wash business seems ready to plunge into community engagement, promising to use their platform for good causes.
The distinctive blend of community philanthropy, coupled with an appreciative depiction of Bowling Green, makes Tommy’s Car Wash a quintessential part in appreciating and supporting local business and artistry. Drawing customers in with its thoughtfully curated local mural and commitment to community give-back, this newest Bowling Green resident is worth a visit.
