Bowling Green, Ky. – In a bid to streamline the process of getting into higher education, Southern Kentucky Community & Technical College (SKYCTC) is set to reboot its express enrollment program. Expected to dismantle barriers for potential students, the initiative encourages more students to ask for and receive the help they need.
Starting on the 18th of June and running through to the end of July, with some special days in the beginning of August, SKYCTC will open their doors every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for express enrollment. Prospective students can get all enrollment procedures out of the way in just a few hours, a significantly shorter timeline compared to the weeks-long online applications that may leave students overwhelmed.
In an interview, Denna White, the director of admissions for SKYCTC, mentioned that the express enrollment is not a new phenomenon at the institution. However, interest in the program has witnessed a steady increase over the years. This growth testifies to the positive effects of the program as more students reap its benefits, she stated.
White highlighted her team’s commitment to assistance and encouraged prospective students to reach out with questions or concerns. She also advised prospective students and interested parties to stay updated about events, news, and any potential cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances by consulting the college’s website.
Express enrollment has been met with excitement and approval from the local community. Many assert that the initiative will make the higher education application process smoother for aspiring students in the area. The initiative is also seen as a reflection of the college’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity.
Located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, SKYCTC is an accredited higher education institution that offers a variety of courses in technical and community education. The courses are aimed at equipping students with relevant skills and knowledge, fostering economic growth, and improving the quality of life in the community.
This initiative by SKYCTC to simplify the enrollment process not only shows its dedication to supporting students but also underlines its commitment to make quality education accessible to all those who seek it.
