City Prepares for Crucial Sewer Manhole Replacement

A city that never sleeps, Bowling Green, KY, finds itself bracing for a bit of unexpected traffic detours this week. Folks, make sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, August 22. Don’t be surprised if you find a chunk of Smallhouse Road off-limits.

The thing is, both lanes on Smallhouse Road between Roselawn Way and Barber Way, are set on a temporary timeout. It seems like these city streets need a little fixing, folks. Bowling Green city officials have confirmed that the road will indeed be shut off from the usual hustle and bustle, kicking in from 9 in the evening until approximately 1 a.m., the next day. What’s the deal? A lot of you might be wondering. Well, this road closure is all about a sewer manhole replacement in the area.

A Slice of Inconvenience But for a Greater Good

Rest assured, the city’s got this under control. Temporary detours will be set-up good and ready to aid in keeping your vehicle movement smooth.
