The Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green showcases Reptile and Exotic Animal Show

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The captivating world of reptiles and exotic pets took center stage at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green. The Reptile and Exotics show made a triumphant return on Sunday, drawing interest from various quarters. Guests at the event had the opportunity to encounter a myriad of creatures, including snakes, rabbits, tarantulas, guinea pigs, and more.

Reptile Show presented by Mayo’s Morphs

The show was presented by Mayo’s Morphs, a renowned reptile store based in Henderson, Ky. Jeff Mayo, the owner of Mayo’s Morphs, expressed excitement about the event’s intent to inform attendees about the wide range of critters featured. “We’re here to educate people about the reptiles, like anything from insects to Burmese pythons,” Mayo commented. “We want people to learn the whole spectrum of the animals, their feeding, their habitats, everything.”

Mayo’s Morphs is known for conducting such events as part of a series on reptiles and other exotic animals. They have taken their educational and entertaining shows to seven distinct locations throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. The events incorporate a diverse set of vendors offering different animals, enclosures, food, care products, and toys, accompanied by food trucks for the visitors.

Growing Awareness and Respect for Exotic Animals

The marketplace for purchasing reptiles and other animals is lucrative but even bystanders are appreciated. The objective extends beyond commerce to increase understanding and respect for these creatures. Mayo said, “I want people to leave here with the calmness of the animals. The more you educate people about how to take care of these animals, [the more] I think they’ll really enjoy it when they actually take one home.”

Upcoming Reptile and Exotic Animal Shows

For those who missed this event or wish to experience it again, the next Reptile and Exotics show will commence at the same location on September 29th. The admission fee is a modest $5 per person, with free entry for children aged four and under. The vibrant atmosphere combined with the opportunity to learn about a variety of species and their care undoubtedly makes attending an enthralling proposition for animal lovers.
