South Kentucky’s Ace Institution Shines in the Workplace Ranking

In an incredible achievement, the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, better known as SKYCTC, has been announced as one of the top twenty places to work in Kentucky. Notably, the institution clinched the sixth position amongst mid-sized companies within the state.

20th Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky Award: A Celebration of Workplace Excellence

Every year, the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the KYSHRM jointly hold the awards ceremony. This event aims to applaud the commitment of 100 esteemed Kentucky companies that excel in creating rewarding and positive workplace environments. The 20th annual ceremony saw SKYCTC leading the way, adhering to the rigorous selection process, which categorizes firms into small (15-149 employees), medium (150-499 employees), and large (500+ employees) based on comprehensive employee surveys conducted exclusively within Kentucky.

An Honor for the SKYCTC Family: A Recognition to Cherish

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Phillip Neal, President and CEO of SKYCTC, heralded the recognition as an honor for all members of SKYCTC. He stated, “Our college is built around core values of caring for others and attaining excellence in education. We strive tirelessly to be of service to our students, communities, and fellow employees. This honor validates our efforts, and I am immensely proud of our team for their relentless commitment and dedication.”

Employee Satisfaction: The Driving Force Behind the Recognition

Sherri Forester, Vice President of Administrative Services at SKYCTC, acknowledged that the employees’ dedication to the institution’s vision and mission is what truly sets the college apart. “SKYCTC employees display a tremendous care for their work, a fact evident in our culture of caring for our students and each other,” she stated, emphasizing the significance of the award in reflecting their employees’ job satisfaction.

A Proudly Evolving Workplace Tradition

In its twentieth year, the Best Places to Work in Kentucky program remains committed to encouraging organizations across the Commonwealth to continually enhance their workplaces. Throughout the years, the program has recognized 359 unique Kentucky companies, with 248 making multiple appearances on the list.

Final Words: Laying a Steppingstone for Success

The acknowledgment of SKYCTC as one of Kentucky’s best workplaces indeed celebrates the institution’s core values and their dedication towards serving both the students and the staff. It is certainly an inspiration to other companies striving for excellence in the creation of positive and rewarding workplace environments across the Commonwealth and beyond.
