Rockfield Shooting Incident Leads to Two Men Being Charged

A tense situation in Rockfield has culminated in two men being apprehended and charged related to a shooting incident. The suspects were identified as Noah Bizor, 21, hailing from Louisville, and Jaden Massey, 23, from Bowling Green.

Details of the Incident

Local authorities were alerted to a shots fired call during the early hours of Monday morning. According to the complainant, the alleged perpetrators had fled the scene in a motor vehicle and were purportedly heading towards Russellville Road. In addition to reporting the event, the complainant also took the initiative to follow the vehicle involved, providing deputies with crucial updates.

Deputies were able to conduct a felony stop at the intersection of Russellville Road and Interstate 165, where they found several rounds lying on the ground at the scene of the reported shooting. As the driver of the vehicle, Bizor, initially resisted compliance with police instruction, suspicion was heightened that he could be reaching for a weapon. Fortunately, a crisis was averted as the driver ultimately followed the commands issued by deputies and was subsequently detained.

Recovery of Firearms and Narcotics

Upon executing searches, deputies found three handguns and an automatic rifle, all loaded, at the scene. Additionally, a baggie of marijuana and several loaded magazines designated for use in weapons were recovered. Bizor and Massey, who was the front-seat passenger in the vehicle, claimed they had been celebrating a friend’s birthday and had ventured to shoot at Petros Browning Road, with their bullets allegedly being fired into the dirt.

Following this information, a search was conducted at the 300 block of Petros Browning Road. Deputies found several spent rounds in the middle of the road, but no off-road bullet holes were discovered, directly contradicting the pair’s earlier assertions.

Ramifications and Charges

The complainant explained his decision to pursue Bizor derived from a fear that his residence was the intended target of the gunfire, thus raising the stakes of the event. Following the incident, Bizor faced charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, and second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer. His Bowling Green counterpart, Massey, was also arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
