Upon their arrival, deputies found one motor vehicle operator who had sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The individual was trapped inside an SUV and required extraction by emergency responders. After being freed, they were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The operator of the second vehicle involved in the crash has been identified as Gregory Michael Calvin, a 39-year-old resident of Bowling Green. During the subsequent investigation, deputies assessed Calvin’s condition and discovered that his blood alcohol content measured an alarming 0.333. This level is four times greater than the legal limit for driving under the influence in the state of Florida.

Charges Filed

As a result of the investigation and his intoxication level, Calvin has been charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Damage to Property. Currently, he is being held at the Walton County jail.
