His wife has been a source of encouragement throughout his journey and even joined him on stage during his performance on “The Voice.” The couple decided to choose Gwen Stefani as his coach, largely influenced by her Oklahoma roots and connections to country music artist Blake Shelton. Shea said, “She was ecstatic.” He added that “Gwen is new to Oklahoma but has that fiery attitude just like the rest of the Oklahomans.
