Bowling Green, KY – The Warren County Public Schools (WCPS) board has taken an essential step towards reshaping the leadership at Jennings Creek Elementary. On Thursday, WCPS announced Nicholas Lowe as the newly appointed principal for the elementary school.
Nicholas Lowe brings a rich and diverse experience to his new role as principal. From 2019, he served as the assistant principal at South Warren High School. His contributions in this role, especially in managing facilities, improving school communication, and building partnerships within the local community, have garnered praise and recognition.
“I’m tremendously excited to commence my new role at Jennings Creek Elementary,” Lowe affirmed. “At the high school level, the approach is more content-driven, often resembling mini colleges. However, kindergarten and elementary learning require a different focus. My priority will be to nurture our young learners, provide them with necessary support, and serve as a safety net during their formative years.”
Before his stint as an assistant principal, Lowe was a dedicated teacher at Greenwood High School between 2009 and 2019. In addition to his teaching role, he also served as the athletic director from 2013 to 2019.
Lowe’s broad range of experience in academic and extracurricular roles within WCPS is considered to be a great asset to Jennings Creek Elementary. His extensive knowledge will no doubt prove invaluable to both the students and the school staff.
The freshly appointed Principal is set to take on his responsibilities at Jennings Creek Elementary from July 15, 2024.
Rob Clayton, Superintendent of Warren County Public Schools, expressed confidence in Lowe’s appointment, asserting that his extensive leadership experience would immensely benefit the students and staff at the elementary school.
“Nicholas Lowe has demonstrated exceptional qualities in educational leadership,” Clayton stated. “We are confident that he will bring those same qualities into play as he steps into his new role as Principal of Jennings Creek Elementary.”
The appointment of a new principal is seen as a positive step towards fostering growth and encouraging innovation in educational strategies at Jennings Creek Elementary. Through this change in leadership, WCPS hopes to continue striving towards raising academic standards, promoting inclusivity, and nurturing young learners to their fullest potential.
