New Members Join the SKYCTC Foundation Board

In Bowling Green, Kentucky, the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) Foundation Board of Directors has welcomed three new members to its ranks. These individuals bring a wealth of experience from various sectors and will each serve a three-year term on the board.

Meet the New Members

The newly appointed members are Jason Goodman, Tim Knipp, and Jeff Ranger.

Jason Goodman comes with 28 years of experience from Logan Aluminum and is set to take on the role of plant manager at the company’s Russellville facility starting October 1st. Goodman has had a diverse career at Logan Aluminum, holding several key positions prior to this, including manufacturing manager for Cold Mills and Finishing. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Western Kentucky University, demonstrating a solid educational background in his field.

Tim Knipp serves as vice president of operations at the Anderson Hospitality Group. Having graduated from Morehead State University, Knipp’s career has been largely tied to the Marriott Corporation before he joined AHG in early 2023. His role now involves supporting the operations of their hotel portfolio, bringing many years of expertise in hospitality management to the foundation.

Lastly, Jeff Ranger is an associate at the law firm Bell, Orr, Ayers & Moore. He specializes in estate and family planning, as well as tax-related matters including tax-deferred 1031 exchanges and probate. Ranger received his law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, further equipping him with the necessary skills for his practice.

Role of the Foundation Board

The SKYCTC Foundation’s Board of Directors consists of professionals from the business, industry, and volunteer communities of southcentral Kentucky. Their main responsibilities include providing counsel and guidance regarding the direction and operation of the foundation, as well as raising public awareness about the college’s programs and initiatives. This board plays a vital role in helping the foundation achieve its goals while supporting the education and development of local students.
