Newly Renovated Mohawk Center: A Niche for Visitors and Local Businesses

In the heart of Brownsville, Kentucky, a landscape alteration has taken on, reviving a piece of state history, the renowned Mohawk Motel – now reinvented as the Mohawk Center. Located within a comfy drive to the Mammoth Cave National Park, the building crafts a unique blend of past and present, serving local businesses and visitors alike in its boutique-style space.

A Nexus for Local Enterprises

Current residents of the Mohawk Center include Little Dumplings Boutique, a children’s clothing store boasting high-quality and stylish designs, The Hive Hair and Company offering professional hairdressing services, and Body and Mind Massage Studio, providing wellness care. These local businesses exemplify the center’s vision to be a modern entrepreneurial hub while maintaining a unique Kentucky character.

A few commercial spaces are still vacant, inviting enterprising spirits to grow their ideas in an environment that harmonizes a local cozy feel with dynamic business energy.

Reviving the Mohawk Motel

The Mohawk Center has not put aside its memorable past. The second floor of the center keeps its motel spirit alive, housing refurbished vacation rentals and creating a distinctive lodging experience. Each AirBnB facility is designed with a Kentucky-related theme, connecting visitors to the state’s rich cultural heritage.

Angela Miller, Co-owner of the Mohawk Center, perfectly encapsulates the idea, “We just wanted to affiliate with Kentucky and then we tried to throw in the decor a little bit. You know, we’re sitting in derby, and you’ll see things that relate to the Derby in here and keep it Kentucky because we are catering to people from all over the country. We have people from all over the country coming to see Mammoth Cave and staying with us.”

Bookings and More

Ready to serve the community and visitors, the Mohawk Center’s vacation rentals are now open for bookings. The Center’s perfect location, coupled with its unique historical and contemporary experience, adds a new charm to Kentucky’s tourism and business landscape.
