After the market, there’s a **_main program_** planned for 6 p.m. which promises to be uplifting and inspiring! There will be a community youth choir performing, a spoken word presentation that is sure to touch hearts, vibrant video showcases, and a proclamation by local officials to set the tone for the festivities ahead.

Also highlighting this event will be an overview of the celebration presented by the committee chair, and guess what? The Black Market will stay open for an extra half hour following the main program. This is a great chance for community members to mingle, shop, and uplift local businesses!

Day of Commemoration: A Mix of Activities

On Monday, January 20, the day starts off bright and early with a **_breakfast at Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary_** at 7:30 a.m. Tickets are priced at a modest $15, making it an affordable way to grab a meal and gear up for the day’s events. Then, at 10 a.m., participants will gather for the **_MLK March_** at the Warren County Justice Center, located at 1001 Center St. This march will lead to the State Street Baptist Church at 340 State St., celebrating the legacy of Dr. King through unity and purpose.

Once everyone arrives at the church, there will be a **_commemorative celebration_** at 11 a.m. featuring the eloquence of keynote speaker Jeremiah Castille, alongside a dramatic reading of Martin Luther King Jr.’s powerful letter from Birmingham Jail by renowned producer and playwright David Greer.
