New Nonprofit The Love & Grace Foundation Opens Doors in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A beacon of hope lit up in the city of Bowling Green with the grand opening of a novel nonprofit organization known as The Love & Grace Foundation. The organization aims to extend an assisting hand to the local foster care community by providing much-needed resources, educational programs, and support.
Filling a gap in the Community
The Love & Grace Foundation acknowledged the widely felt need in the neighborhood for extended support to foster care families. Kerri Mercer, Founder and President of the Love & Grace Foundation, stated: “We observed a significant necessity in the local community for further reach-outs to our foster care community, families, and children.”
The grand opening event encompassed a walk-through tour of the fresh facility, introducing attendees to a myriad of services that will soon be available for those in need. The occasion was replete with food trucks, live entertainment, bouncy houses, and vendor tables cultivating a jovial ambiance.
Spectrum of Services
The new facility of The Love & Grace Foundation houses several enticing amenities, such as a closet boutique equipped with clothing items for needy families. Additionally, it comprises a layover suite designated for children in transitional phases within the foster care system.
Beyond these logistical aids, educational programs are being set up for both internal family members and external community members. The aim is to foster participation and increase understanding of the foster care community.
“People should realize, in the foster care community, they are not alone,” emphasized Mercer. “Eight out of 11 of our board of directors comprise active and current foster-adoptive families. We take immense pride in this statistic.”
Expansion Through Community Guided by Love and Grace
The Foundation’s influence already stretches across several counties around Kentucky, including Hart, Allen, Logan, Barren, Simpson, and more. The Foundation has achieved this wide-ranging influence through the generous assistance of sponsors, helping them reach out more effectively to social workers and foster care community members.
The facility, situated at 1366 Kenton Street, will be open five days a week. For more information, interested parties are encouraged to visit the foundation’s official Facebook page.
