In a tragic turn of events, a horrific two-vehicle accident resulted in two fatalities in Warren County, Kentucky. At approximately 10 pm last night, local authorities were informed about a head-on collision involving two vehicles. Occupants of the vehicles, a silver Chevrolet Cruze and a yellow Dodge Charger were involved.
Carolyn Colter, 62-year-old Morgantown resident, was operating the silver Chevrolet Cruze. According to preliminary investigation reports, Colter was driving southbound on the northbound lane of I-165 at the 2.2-mile marker. This resulted in a direct, head-on collision with the yellow Dodge Charger, driven by 23-year-old Kinsley Demontigny of Henderson, TN.
The force of the collision was catastrophic. Colter was pronounced dead at the scene. Demontigny, despite the best efforts of first responders, was transported to the Bowling Green Medical Center, where, in spite of immediate medical treatment, she later succumbed to her injuries.
The case remains active and ongoing under the direction of Trooper Michael Wathen of the Kentucky State Police Post 03 Bowling Green. At the accident scene, Trooper Wathen received noteworthy assistance from several organizations including the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Medical Center EMS, Bowling Green Fire Department, the Warren County Coroner, and other members of the KSP.
The collective efforts of these individuals and organizations were dedicated to managing the scene of the accident, delivering necessary emergency treatment, and beginning the painstaking process of accident reconstruction to determine the precise causes of this tragic accident.

Road safety is of paramount importance, and such devastating incidents are a solemn reminder of the dire consequences of deviations from safe driving practices.
