Gary was born and raised in Bowling Green, a city he called home for his entire life. He graduated from Bowling Green High School and went on to pursue higher education at several university institutions, including Western Kentucky University, Eastern Kentucky University, and the University of Louisville. After completing his education, Gary made the noble choice to enlist in the United States Navy. He served the country for six years, demonstrating his dedication to his country and its values. He is also survived by his niece, Erin Jennifer Birmingham, her husband Seth, nephew Michael Scott Trapp, and his wife Lynn. Additionally, Gary’s brother-in-law, Pastor Lloyd Richards, and his best friend, Ricky Lewis Trapp, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, will remember him fondly.
Gary had a passion for spending time on his boat, enjoying the peacefulness of nature. However, his greatest love was for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His faith guided him in all aspects of his life, and he instilled the same values in those around him.

Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation held from 12:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.
