Jessica Byers of Byers Insurance Group Recognized As JA People of Action

In a heartening display of community service, Jessica Byers of the Byers Insurance Group has been named this week’s JA (Junior Achievement) People of Action. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to youth education and mentoring, Byers has given generously of her time and knowledge.

Mentoring the Next Generation

Byers, who has repeatedly shown exceptional dedication to her community, recently assisted in facilitating mock job interviews at Greenwood High School. Over the past three years, her active participation as a Junior Achievement volunteer has been nothing short of inspiring. Her favorite part of the experience, she shared, is the “fun, real-world simulations”, that encompass a wide range of activities from second graders earning money in their respective ‘jobs’ to high school students participating in job interviews.

Invoking Enthusiasm And Learning

Byers asserts that JA programs are instrumental in inculcating responsibility and enhancing respect among young individuals towards their immediate community. Volunteers like her play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of JA initiatives, ensuring that all requests for JA assistance from classrooms are tend to. Reflecting on her JA experiences, she quoted, “JA brings real-world information and learning into the classroom with age-appropriate activities. The kids learn so much and love their JA experience!”
