Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky Announces New Director of Education

Bowling Green, KY- Lauren Griffing, a local educator with years of experience in the field of education and business, has been named the new Director of Education for the Junior Achievement (JA) of South Central Kentucky. In her new role, Griffing will be responsible for overseeing all JA educational programs in Bowling Green and the South Central Kentucky region.

A Focus on Work Readiness, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Literacy

The Junior Achievement educational programs aim to equip over 10,000 local students from Kindergarten to 12th grade with crucial skills for work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. The appointment of Griffing is expected to bolster these programs, leveraging her unique experience in both the classroom and corporate sectors.

“Lauren’s experience is invaluable to Junior Achievement,” said Allie R. Sharp Hilderbrandt, President of Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky. “The leadership Griffing will provide will help ensure the future success of JA in the Bowling Green area and beyond,” she added.

A Passion for Helping Students

Griffing, a Bowling Green native, completed her education at both the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University. She currently resides in the local area with her husband and two children. Her professional journey spans several sectors, including noteworthy positions in the field of education, human resources, and business.

“I am looking forward to the impact I can make on the students and our Kentucky communities,” shared Griffing. She further expressed her excitement as a former educator to continue supporting and preparing students for their futures.
