Hope House Ministries Expands Addiction Recovery Program for Women

Hope House Ministries Expands Addiction Recovery Program for Women

– In an empowering move towards bettering the lives of women struggling with addiction, Hope House Ministries is expanding its reputable Program Living for Women. The program, which has been successfully running for two years, seeks to provide holistic treatment and care for women dealing with alcohol and drug addiction.

Program Living for Women Evolution

Initially, nine years ago, Hope House Ministries launched an addiction recovery program specifically designed for men. Recognizing the importance of extending this life-saving service to women, the program expanded its treatment and care to cater to them two years ago.

Combining hard-hitting theory with practical application, the program is designed in four phases. Designed as a 24-bed facility, the program advances in stages including classes for GED (General Educational Development), DUI (Driving Under the Influence) as well as biblical courses among others.

For an intensive six-month period, women participants will undergo rigorous program training, counseling sessions, and classes. In the following six months, these acquired tools and skills will be implemented to aid them in their journey of recovery and reintegrate them back into normal life patterns.

Towards A New Phase

The ministry is now marching ahead with an exciting new milestone as it draws near the completion of its first phase of apartment construction. These transitional homes will provide women a safe, stable, and affordable living environment upon their graduation from the year-long recovery program.

Moreover, these transitional homes will also facilitate an environment for their children allowing them to live with their mothers, thus promoting familial harmony and rehabilitation.

Plans for Future Expansion

The future vision for this project was discussed in greater detail by Brian Lewis, the president, and CEO of Hope House Ministries. According to him, the non-profit has managed to secure funding for the first six apartments. The mission, however, extends to acquiring enough funds to construct a total of 14 apartments.

Moreover, the plan seeks to initiate their second and third phases, involving a new ministry center and construction of 24 tiny houses respectively. Each of these phases is tailored to provide additional support and further the recovery journey of these women.

Public Invited to Celebrate

The upcoming steps of Hope House Ministries’ expansion will be celebrated at a public groundbreaking event on March 14 at 11 a.m. The location of this milestone event will be 461 Glen Lily Road. The public is invited to join in marking this significant step towards aiding recovery and celebrating the program’s anniversary.

These developments point toward an optimistic future where supportive programs like this can play a crucial role in helping countless women renew their lives, free themselves from the devastating cycle of addiction, and reintegrate into society leading healthy lives.
