The tickets are valid for all 35 home games, with the only exception being that epic showdown against Kentucky on April 29. It’s a great way to save some bucks while cheering on our favorite team!
Head coach Marc Rardin and the Hilltoppers have set up quite a season ahead, with nine series to be hosted at home. The action kicks off with five consecutive weekend series at Nick Denes Field. Mark your calendars for these matchups:
But that’s not all! Fans can also look forward to five midweek showdowns against teams like EKU, Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Evansville, and, of course, Kentucky. Once again, it’s shaping up to be a dynamic season for the Hilltoppers!
As if the non-conference action wasn’t enough, the Hilltoppers will also welcome four teams from Conference USA: Sam Houston, Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, and Jax State. It’s going to be an electrifying atmosphere at Nick Denes Field, so be sure to grab your Flex Pass early!
In other news, basketball fans, you’re in for more action with the women’s basketball team gearing up for a match against @FIU on Saturday, January 4, at 3 p.m. at the iconic E.A. Diddle Arena. The historical rivalry is heating up, and with WKU leading the all-time series at 35-10, our Hilltoppers are looking to extend that advantage!
WKU women’s team is off to a solid start with a record of 9-3 in non-conference play, although they have faced a tough couple of games recently, losing their last two. But don’t be too worried! The team is currently dominating the scoring offense in the conference, averaging a remarkable 75.9 points per game. However, they have some work to do on the defensive end, where they are allowing 65.9 points.
Look out for senior guard Alexis Mead, who is lighting up the scoreboard with an average of 13.8 points per game, placing her in the top ten for scoring in Conference USA. With her talent for assists and steals, she ranks fourth in both categories. Alongside her, Destiny Salary and Acacia Hayes are also making waves, averaging 12.5 and 12.2 points, respectively.
After a remarkable season last year where FIU managed to sweep the Hilltoppers for the first time since 2011, the pressure is on for WKU to bounce back and reclaim their mojo!
