Big News: Flock Cameras to Roll Out in Bowling Green for Vehicle Tracking!

Bowling Green in Kentucky is moving with the modern wave and is rolling the carpet out for some new security tech: a set of shiny flock cameras! This nifty bit of tech will help law enforcement ease up on tracking vehicle registrations. So, if they come across a hot ride that’s been lifted from somewhere else, they can chase that bad boy down real quick.

Hold up though, you might have a truckload of questions about what these cameras can and can’t do. And, no worries, we got some answers right here from Detective John Williams, who’s with the guys taking down the bad folks.

The detective says, “Identify who’s driving the vehicle… It’s not going to go off… folks aren’t gonna start getting speeding tickets in the mail like some of the big city dwellers. Doesn’t matter how speedy you’re going. There’s different cameras in the system that are zoomier than others… and where they’re put and the need for camera speeds, well, that all depends on some noggin-work.”

He also gave a heads-up on where these cameras are most likely to show up, and it’s all about keeping our neighborhoods safer.

“The still ones are gonna… we’ve been over this… they’ll go around our county schools and our recreation spots. This means, technically, we can eyeball who’s hangin’ out around these areas… not just for our kiddos’ safety, but for everyone who visits these parks and schools,” our Detective says.

We’ve yet to get the 411 on when these cameras will be set up and running, but it sure sounds like our detective is pretty stoked about Bowling Green joining the ranks of cities like Lexington, Louisville, Elizabethtown & Owensboro, who’ve already gotten these systems up and running.

Inclusivity Encouraged in Schools After Flock Camera Rollout

After the flock cameras make their way to Bowling Green, the local schools are starting to get more inclusive for students, regardless of ability. This new tech not only aids in vehicle tracking, but also encourages a safer, more inclusive environment for all students.
