BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A big splash of recognition is making its way to the Russell Sims Aquatic Center this summer as they plan to honor our fearless first responders. “First Responder Appreciation Days” is an initiative targeted to honor the brave individuals at the frontline of emergency response, including police, doctors, EMS staff, nurses, and fire departments.
From July 8th to July 10th, the Russell Sims Aquatic Center will be conducting a three day event to show appreciation to these dedicated workers. The Aquatic Center will offer a discounted admission rate of $3 to all first responders from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All first responders are required to present their identification for this special admission rate. However, it is important to note that family members of first responders must pay the standard ticket price.
Powering through times of crises, these men and women work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of their communities. The First Responder Appreciation Days at Russell Sims Aquatic Center is a small gesture of gratitude towards their relentless service.
“This is our way of saying thank you for your service to our communities,” as stated by Russell Sims in an online post. The commemoration serves as a token of appreciation for the bravery, dedication and selfless service of these remarkable individuals.
For detailed information about the First Responder Appreciation Days, interested parties can check out the City of Bowling Green’s official Facebook page. This event demonstrates how individuals and organizations can give back to the community, ensuring the untiring efforts of our first responders do not go unnoticed.
We urge community members to come and participate in the spirit of celebration and recognition, and use this opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude towards the local heroes who make our country safer every day.
Remember the Dates: July 8-10
Whether you are a first responder eager to receive the honor you deserve or a community member wishing to express appreciation, mark your calendars for these special dates at the Russell Sims Aquatic Center.
