Good news for pizza lovers in Bowling Green! After suffering immense damage from the devastating tornadoes that tore through the region in December 2021, Firehouse Pizza is finally back in business. This beloved local eatery has risen from the ashes and has been revamped by a new owner ready to make it even better.
Meet Olivia Elms, the fresh face behind the Bowling Green location of Firehouse Pizza. As a proud former employee of the Morgantown branch, Olivia couldn’t be more excited to take over her own franchise. “It’s where my heart was,” she said, reminiscing about her days at the Morgantown store. She took on this venture not just to revive a restaurant, but to bring back a cherished community spot.
Last year’s tornado created quite the challenge, but Olivia and her team decided to turn that adversity into an advantage. “We tried to take the tornado to our advantage as much as we could,” she explained. Firehouse Pizza is emerging from the wreckage with a renewed focus on dining in and a fantastic selection of offerings that were not previously available.
Gone are the days of just delivery and pick-up. The new Firehouse Pizza is now a full-service restaurant featuring a delightful menu, and guess what? They even serve alcohol and ice cream! That’s right, you can now enjoy a cold beverage with your favorite slice of pizza or treat yourself to a sweet dessert after your meal.
If you’re wondering where to find this fun dining experience, Olivia has set up shop in a new location on the 31-W Bypass, where Baskin Robbins used to be. Transforming the space has been no small feat. Olivia and her staff worked tirelessly to make the restaurant not only operational but also a welcoming spot for families and friends to gather and enjoy great food together.
Last week, the pizza shop kicked off its soft opening, and to make it special, Olivia decided to treat some of the restaurant’s most devoted customers. They distributed “golden tickets” to a select 100 former patrons, welcoming them as the first to experience the newly revamped Firehouse Pizza. “That was our way to condense our volume and control how much my staff is exposed to in the initial soft opening hours,” Olivia shared. Her thoughtful approach ensured that everyone involved had a smooth and enjoyable experience right from the start.
Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for—Firehouse Pizza is officially open to the general public! So, if you’re craving a mouth-watering pizza or want to gather with friends for a fun night out, head over to the new location and support your local eatery. Whether it’s a cheesy slice, a cold drink, or a sweet dessert, Firehouse Pizza is ready to welcome you back with open arms.
So grab your friends and family, and make sure you swing by to celebrate the return of this vibrant part of the Bowling Green community. Who doesn’t love great food, good company, and the charm of a local restaurant rising once again?
