It’s time to breathe a sigh of relief, folks! For those of you in Bowling Green struggling after the recent storms in May, help is on the way. Yup, you read it right! The Small Business Administration (SBA) and The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have joined forces and are currently reaching out to homeowners and business owners in the region, pitching in to help them rebuild, sustain, or maintain their properties. They’re offering an astounding two million dollars in funding!
Our sources tell us that Angel Class, a public affairs specialist with the SBA, has underlined the fact that these two organizations can and are making a huge difference. Just imagine how many folks they can help, how many lives they can change! Storm damages can affect everyone, especially businesses that may lose ten, twenty percent of their revenue because their customers can’t get to them. This kind of support can give them a fighting chance to survive.
Can this get any better? Absolutely! The list of resources that FEMA and SBA provide is long, and any business owner or homeowner can apply. That’s right, anyone! FEMA Public Information Officer, Rossyveth Rey, encourages folks not to discard themselves and remind that they have people who can support and guide you through the application process.
“Don’t chuck yourself in the bin,” she says, “We want to help you take that first step.”

It gives us real joy to spread good news like this to our community. It’s all about helping each other, especially during hard times. Together, let’s face it head-on and turn the tide back in our favor. Here’s hoping for brighter days ahead in Bowling Green!
Also, in other exciting news, we would like to congratulate Hart County Animal Shelter for winning a whopping $3,000 grant. Keep up the good work, folks!
