Darrell was just 57 years old, and his absence is felt deeply by family and friends alike.

A Life of Love and Family

Darrell was born to the late Darrell Wayne Cowles Sr. and Brenda Sue Kelley Pedigo, who survives him. Throughout his life, he held his family close, cherishing every moment spent with them. Although he faced the heartbreak of losing his sister, Tammy Cowles, and brother, Jeff Cowles, Darrell’s spirit remained strong and filled with love for those who remained.

Hard Work and Dedication

Known for his hardworking nature, Darrell spent his career as a set-up man in several local factories. His dedication to his work mirrored his determination to provide for and support his family. In a town like Bowling Green, where community values run deep, many remember Darrell not just for his work ethic, but also for his kindness and generosity towards others.

A Passion for Fishing

Outside of work, Darrell found his happiest moments out on the water. He was an avid fisherman, often escaping to the local lakes and rivers with a fishing rod in hand and a smile on his face. For Darrell, fishing was more than just a hobby; it was a way to unwind and share cherished moments with family and friends. Whether he was casting a line on a brisk morning or relaxing by the shore at sunset, he treasured the experiences that came with the sport.

A Faithful Heart

Darrell’s faith played a significant role in his life. As a member of the Baptist community, he often found comfort and connection in his beliefs. His faith not only guided him through personal challenges but also inspired him to reach out to those around him, offering support and friendship whenever needed.

Survived by Loved Ones

Although Darrell has left this world, his legacy lives on. He is survived by his loving mother, Brenda Sue Kelley Pedigo; his step-sister, Karen Miller; his niece, Jessica Cowles; and his faithful companion, Gabby the dog. All reside in Bowling Green and remember Darrell for the light he brought into their lives.

Final Arrangements

In accordance with his wishes, cremation was chosen as the method of final arrangements. The community is now preparing for a heartfelt celebration of Darrell’s life, which will take place at a later date at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. It is expected to be an event filled with love, laughter, and shared memories as friends and family come together to honor the man they cherished.
