Located in the charming city of Bowling Green, Kentucky, the esteemed organization, Hope House, is diligently preparing for their large-scale fundraiser of the year, the much-anticipated event – Cooking for Hope. Celebrating its 14th anniversary, this annual event is instrumental in supporting the entire year’s work of Hope House’s Ministry.
A high-spirited evening has been planned that will bear resemblance to the popular “Iron Chef” cooking competition. Teams constituted by local pastors will showcase their culinary prowess in this alcove of healthy rivalry. Additionally, there will be a meal served for attendees, a talk on Hope House’s significant contribution to the community, and an alluring silent auction. Aiming to sustain their mission to tackle poverty, Hope House has set an ambitious goal to raise $75,000 at the 14th Annual Cooking for Hope event.
Casey Hammons, director of Marketing and Communications for Hope House Ministries, sheds light on their mission and programs – “We provide faith-based education, transportation, workforce development, addiction recovery, and financial empowerment programs. In essence, our objective is long-term solution provisions. We guide individuals to bring about an imperative change in their circumstances, assist them in acknowledging their dignity, value, and skills. We then guide them on how to utilize these skills and walk with them in their journey to overcome poverty.”
The silent auction, which is part of this fundraising event, will commence online from April 26, 2024. For those interested in supporting the noble cause that Hope House champions, opportunities to become an event sponsor or purchase tickets for the Cooking for Hope gala are available. The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
