BOWLING GREEN, KY – The community is coming together to remember the life of Gary Allen Raymer, who passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was 78 years old. Gary was a long-time resident of Bowling Green, born in Warren County on March 24, 1946. He was the beloved son of the late Allen and Helen Raymer.
Gary Raymer leaves behind a caring family, including his two sons. Todd Raymer and his wife, Patricia, are from Russellville, while Chad Raymer and his wife, Jennifer, live in Bowling Green. Gary took pride in being a grandfather to three grandchildren: Carol Raymer, from Louisville, and Jenna Raymer and Hunter Raymer, both residing in Bowling Green. He is also survived by two sisters, Carrie Bolton of Lexington, TN, and Cathy Rogers of Bowling Green, along with several beloved nephews and nieces.
Throughout his life, Gary was known for his dedication to his community and the people around him. Friends and family describe him as a warm and caring individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand. His family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Bowling Green Police Department. Donations can be directed towards the Gary Raymer Scholarship Fund at 911 Kentucky St, Bowling Green, KY 42101. This fund is intended to honor his memory and positively impact the youth in the community.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. This will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to pay their respects and share their memories of Gary. It’s a time for everyone who knew him to come together, reflect on his legacy, and support his family during this difficult time.
