What Scholarships Are Available?

Now, let’s dive into the specifics. The Med Center Health Foundation is offering a range of scholarships that cater to different students’ situations. Here’s a breakdown of the options:

  • Carrel K. Sumner Family Memorial Scholarship: This one’s for full-time undergraduate students at Western Kentucky University, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, or another accredited college in Bowling Green. It’s specifically available for dependent children of full-time or part-time employees of The Medical Center.
  • Charles M. Stewart Scholarship: If you’re a full-time student at Western Kentucky University and a dependent child of a Medical Center employee, this scholarship is just for you!
  • Floyd Ellis Scholarship: This scholarship is targeted towards dependent children of a Warren Rural Electric Co-op employee who is studying full-time at Western Kentucky University.
  • Gary Alan Woodward ‘Serving Others’ Scholarship: This one is perfect for Logan County seniors who have been accepted into a Kentucky college or university. It encourages those dedicated to helping their community!
  • Helen Dinning Scholarship: For graduates of Franklin-Simpson High School, this scholarship supports full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors at Western Kentucky University who are majoring in a health-related degree program.
  • Herbert A. Oldham Scholarship: This scholarship is available for students from underrepresented populations (including but not limited to African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian or Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American) who are students at Western Kentucky University and graduate from high schools in Bowling Green or Warren County.
  • The Marion Boyd Scholarship Fund: This gem is awarded to students specifically studying Radiography at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College.
