A day after 46-year-old Wesley Mansfield was reported missing, the Bowling Green Police Department has issued an appeal for information from the public that could potentially lead to his safe recovery.
The local resident was last seen on Thursday in the 1200 block of Morgantown Road. To help generate leads, the police released Mansfield’s personal details along with a description of the clothes he was reportedly wearing at the time of his disappearance.
Details from the Bowling Green Police Department indicate that Mansfield is six feet one inch tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He has distinct gray hair and hazel eyes, details that can help identify him amidst a crowd.
At the time Mansfield was last seen, he was clothed in a gray sweatshirt, a blue denim jacket, and dark-colored pants. He was also carrying a black and gray backpack, police confirmed.
Investigation officers were also quick to clarify that this was not a manhunt for a suspect. “Mansfield is not wanted in a criminal investigation; he is a missing person, and our only goal here is to establish his whereabouts as soon as possible for his safety and the peace of mind of his loved ones,” explained one officer from the Bowling Green police force.
The Bowling Green Police Department is appealing to anyone who may have seen Mansfield or has knowledge of his whereabouts to get in touch with them immediately. “It does not matter how insignificant you think your information might be, it could be the missing piece in this puzzle,” the officer added.
The public is encouraged to contact the Bowling Green Police at 270-393-4000 or, if immediate help is at hand, to call 911. The announcement came as part of ongoing efforts from the police force to enhance public engagement in addressing community safety issues.
