Bowling Green, Kentucky — A significant milestone was set by a Bowling Green native in the diesel drag racing sphere. Known in the community as ‘The Ninja’, Michael Cordova has made an impressive name for himself as he recently set the fastest speed record in his car.
Cordova previously had the record for the fastest elapsed time, or ET, breaking it at 3.877 seconds with an impressive speed of over 191 miles per hour. In a testament to his commitment to pushing boundaries, he subsequently toppled his own record by registering a time of 3.83 seconds at a staggering 203 miles per hour. This achievement now stands as the fastest speed ever recorded in diesel drag racing history.

Detailing his emotional reaction to the landmark moment, Cordova shared, “My wife couldn’t be there… I FaceTimed her immediately and my new son. It just felt like… I could feel it in my heart… I still have a smile on my face for it.”
Despite this rampant success, Cordova plans to continue pushing the envelope. His determination remains unyielding as he sets his gaze on the next goal – to reduce his time further to around 3.7 seconds, while keeping a speed over the 200 miles per hour bracket.
