Kenneth, a lifelong resident of Edmonson County, leaves behind a significant legacy, not only as a talented cabinet maker but also as a devoted family man and friend to many.

A Life Built with Passion

Kenneth was known for his incredible skills as a cabinet maker, having spent many years as a self-employed craftsman. This passion for woodworking not only provided for his family but also allowed him to leave a mark on the homes and businesses of the region. His craftsmanship was admired by all who experienced it.

In addition to his work, Kenneth held membership in the Shopmens Iron Workers Union in Louisville, solidifying his connection to the community of skilled trades. His commitment to both his work and his family is a testimony to the values he cherished throughout his life.

A Family Man

Kenneth Embry was the beloved son of the late Ebbon Wayne Embry and Ernie Whobrey Embry. In his life, he faced the heart-wrenching loss of his son, Richard Lee Embry, along with two brothers, Steven Denzil Embry and Roger Embry. Despite these losses, his enduring strength and commitment to family shone through brightly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Laverne Keith Embry, and their three children: Julie Embry Thurman from Louisville, Kathleen Embry Zawisa of Smithfield, and David Embry of Louisville, along with their spouses who cherished Kenneth as their own. Also surviving Kenneth are his daughter-in-law, Marjorie Embry, and his siblings: Wanda Smith from Louisville and Rayburn Embry from New Haven. He leaves behind a wealth of extended family, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niecеs, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.

A Community Leader and Friend

Kenneth was a dedicated member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, where he was loved and respected by his fellow congregants. His active participation in church activities showcased not only his strong spiritual beliefs but also his commitment to being part of a close-knit community.

Final Farewell

The funeral services for Kenneth Embry are scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 PM at Gravil Funeral Home. Those wishing to pay their respects can join for visitation on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again after 10:00 AM on Sunday. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Cub Creek Cemetery, where loved ones will gather to bid farewell to this beloved community figure.

As news of Kenneth’s passing spreads, the Bowling Green community comes together to remember the man who spent his life giving back in countless ways.
