Bowling Green Honors Meredith Rozanski with Kelly Award for Excellence in Business and Education Partnerships

Bowling Green Celebrates Local Leader with Prestigious Award

In the heart of Bowling Green, Kentucky, a remarkable event unfolded recently as Meredith Rozanski, a well-known face of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, received the esteemed Kentucky Board of Education’s Kelly Award for Business and Education Partnership. This joyous occasion took place on October 8, during a meeting where Rozanski’s significant contributions to education and local partnerships were recognized with heartfelt applause.

A Humble Acceptance

As she accepted the award, Rozanski expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am honored to receive the Kelly Award for Business and Education Partnership. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work closely with Bowling Green Independent Schools and Warren County Public Schools for over a decade. It’s inspiring to see such leadership and teamwork focused on providing exceptional opportunities for students, and I am excited to see our community partnership continue to grow.”

A Champion for Education

The Kelly Award isn’t just a shiny trophy; it symbolizes the remarkable relationships and collaborations between businesses and schools that improve student outcomes. Rozanski was nominated for this prestigious honor by Gary Fields, the Bowling Green Independent School District superintendent, and Rob Clayton, the Warren County Public School district superintendent. Their nominations highlight Rozanski’s exceptional leadership abilities and her impact on southeast Kentucky’s economic and educational landscape.

Innovative Initiatives

One of the standout programs developed by Rozanski is the annual South Central Kentucky Learning About Unique and New Careers Here program, affectionately known as SCK Launch. This initiative opens doors for students as they prepare to step into the workforce, bridging the gap between education and employment opportunities. Rozanski hasn’t slowed down and continues to lead this impactful program.

A Track Record of Achievement

Rozanski’s hard work extends beyond SCK Launch. Her support of the Leader in Me program, powered by FranklinCovey Education, has paid off in dividends. Thanks to her efforts, Warren County Schools achieved a groundbreaking milestone when they recorded Kentucky’s first Lighthouse School in 2014 and subsequently became the first Legacy School in 2023, as stated by Superintendent Clayton.

A Growing Partnership

The impact of Rozanski’s work is measurable and impressive. Just last year, she successfully increased the number of chamber-led college and career learning experiences available to high school students in both the Bowling Green Independent and Warren County systems. In total, a stunning 8,900 experiences were offered, providing students with invaluable insights and opportunities to explore their future career paths.

Celebrating Community Connections

Each year, the Kelly Award is presented to an individual or business that embodies the spirit of collaboration between the business sector and educational institutions, with the ultimate goal of improving student outcomes. Rozanski’s dedication and passion for enhancing educational experiences make her a deserving recipient of this honor.

As Bowling Green continues to thrive and grow, it’s leaders like Meredith Rozanski who shine brightly in their commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering strong community connections. Her influence reinforces the idea that education and business partnerships are essential pillars for a brighter future.
