According to a statement from BGHS Principal Kyle McGraw, the individual approached the campus under significant distress and was holding a knife. A staff member initially confronted the former student outside the building, during which he expressed fears for his life, stating that “someone was trying to kill him.” The staff member managed to convince the juvenile to put down the knife and led him to a secure area of the school that was not accessible to other students and staff members. School Resource Officer’s Response

Following this interaction, BGHS School Resource Officer Matt Wheat arrived at the scene.
