The troubles began when a woman reported that she was being followed by Macias, who was driving a distinctive silver car. According to the victim, he approached her while she was at a local Speedway gas station, offering her a ride—a proposal she decidedly turned down. However, Macias didn’t take this lightly. Instead, he followed her as she made her way from the gas station to the intersection of East 12th Avenue and High Street, persistently asking her to get into his vehicle.

Things took a bizarre twist when the victim noticed Macias parking his car nearby and standing behind a pole, as if he were waiting for her to pass by. Alarmed, she decided to call 911 to report the strange behavior. Upon seeing the authorities arrive, Macias promptly jumped into his car and sped off down the street with his headlights switched off, trying to evade the situation.

However, his escape was short-lived. As the police were speaking with the victim, Macias was seen driving recklessly westbound on Broadway Avenue, where he struck a curb before crashing into the parking lot of the First Baptist Church. Officers arrived and quickly apprehended him. It didn’t take long for them to notice that Macias had a significant smell of alcohol and appeared quite unsteady on his feet. During questioning, he admitted to having consumed two beers but minimized his actions after the victim declined his offer of a ride.

As police conducted a search of Macias’ vehicle, they uncovered suspected fentanyl, what appeared to be marijuana, along with a glass pipe and a black scale—items not typically associated with good choices. Following the incident, he was taken to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for an evaluation before being booked into the Warren County Regional Jail.

Macias is now looking at a hefty list of charges including:

Second-degree stalking
Careless driving
Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (first offense)
Drug paraphernalia – buy/possess
Possession of marijuana
First-degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense, drug unspecified)

Separate Incident Involving Vandalism and Burglary

Timothy Russell, aged 40, was also taken into custody following a string of vandalism and burglary incidents connected to a former girlfriend. The incidents came to light when the Kentucky State Police received reports on October 31 involving vandalism at the Warren County Health Department.

Russell faced serious charges including first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree burglary for allegedly committing acts of vandalism at the health department. Those reports confirmed that he had previously harassed an employee of the health department. Surveillance footage even showed Russell outside the employee’s residence in Glasgow, which only added fuel to the fire of the case against him.

Along with the charges for vandalism, Russell’s list of offenses also includes first-degree stalking and third-degree arson (attempt), among other things. Eyewitness reports indicate he had been spotted wearing old-man-type masks while vandalizing properties, spray-painting negative messages at health department buildings, and leaving threatening notes on his victim’s car. Evidence suggested that he was focused on targeting this woman following the end of their relationship, particularly since he had recently lost his job at the health department.

Russell is currently being held at the Warren County Jail with a bond set at a whopping $25,000.
