Beyond her warm demeanor, Audrey had a particular passion that brought joy to those around her—baking. Audrey discovered her knack for cake decorating while working at the bakery in the Fort Eustis commissary. Ever since then, she transformed countless celebrations into memorable occasions with her beautifully decorated cakes. Following her time at Fort Eustis, her baking journey continued at Western Kentucky University through Aramark dining services, where she took delight in spreading happiness one delicious cake at a time.
A True Horse Enthusiast
But there was more to Audrey than just her baking prowess. A lifelong horse lover, Audrey’s journey into the equestrian world began at the tender age of 12, owning horses that fulfilled her childhood dreams. Later in life, she discovered her love for miniature horses, eventually achieving a lifelong dream of participating in the Pegasus Parade. Her passion for horses extended beyond personal joy; she was a familiar face at numerous horse shows and parades in Bowling Green, especially the festive Christmas and Veteran’s Day celebrations.
The Joy of Learning
Audrey’s zest for life extended into her pursuit of knowledge. A firm believer in lifelong learning, she became an active member of the Society for Lifelong Learning at Western Kentucky University.
