The organization has been awarded the number one economic development organization in the country by the renowned Site Selection magazine, for areas boasting a population between 50,000 and 200,000.

Ron Bunch, President and CEO of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, shed light on how these evaluations take place. “They categorize communities into different population bases, evaluate the economic development outcomes, capital investment jobs produced, and number of projects announced within the year,” Bunch said. He added, “They rank all those communities in those population categories. After that ranking, we ranked number one in the country for that size.”

This honor marks the 11th consecutive year that Bowling Green has secured a place on the prestigious list, and it has consistently ranked in the top 6. Bunch expressed his joy over another successful year, stating, “We have an incredible team that works well every year, and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to that team, along with the city and county, which have maintained a favorable business climate here.”

Bunch revealed, “There are definitely more projects to be announced. At this point in the year, we’ve got five or more projects that we’ll announce in the next 90 days, some of which are pretty substantial.”
