Apartment Fire Sparks Large Response from Local Firefighters
Residents of the Windover Place Apartments located in the 5600 block of Russellville Road, Bowling Green, had a scare early Tuesday morning when fire units responded to a report of a possible fire just after 8 a.m.
A large contingent of first responders arrived at the scene, including units from the Bowling Green Fire Department. Yet despite the severity of the initial reports, they found the damage from the incident to be relatively minor.
Details of the Incident
It seems that something had boiled over inside one of the apartments and caught fire. The first responders on the scene shared that the event had resulted in only one minor injury. They believe this injury occurred as a resident attempted to exit an apartment amidst the scare.
While reports initially suggested a possible structure fire, Bowling Green Fire Department spokesperson Katie McKee stated that there were no damages. However, there were reports of smoke damage within the apartment complex.

Despite the fear caused by the initial report of a possible fire, the structural integrity of the Windover Place apartment complex remains intact, except for the smoke damage sustained.
