Crime Stoppers: Bowling Green Police Department Seeking Suspects in Credit Card Theft

Suspects Stole Credit Cards at Fountain Square Emporium

In a recent escalation of credit card thefts, the Bowling Green Police Department (BGPD) is on a manhunt for two suspects who allegedly stole credit cards from a victim’s wallet. This incident occurred at the well-known local business, Fountain Square Emporium, on the 6th of June.

Over $1,900 in Fraudulent Transactions At Sam’s Club

The unidentified suspects did not stop at stealing the credit cards. They subsequently visited Sam’s Club on Ken Bale Boulevard, where they reportedly made various fraudulent transactions. The ill-gotten exploits of these transactions amounted to over $1,900, adding a substantial financial loss to the unsuspected victim.

Public Assistance Needed to Identify the Suspects

To expedite the suspects’ identification and apprehension, the BGPD, in collaboration with South Central Kentucky Crime Stoppers, is turning to the public for assistance. If anyone has information about this crime or can identify the suspects, they are strongly encouraged to reach out to the Crime Stoppers’ hotline at 781-CLUE. Alternatively, tip-offs can be made through their website or the P3 Tips app available for mobile devices.

Gratifying Anonymity for Informants

Any individual who possesses information about the crime or suspects and wishes to share it with the authorities, can do so with complete assurance of anonymity. The Crime Stoppers’ calling lines do not record calls, nor do they use caller ID. They are solely interested in the valuable information that could aid investigations, and not the callers’ identities. To reward such public-spiritedness and encourage more people to come forward, informants stand a chance to receive up to $1,000 for their anonymous tip.

Tackling the Rising Tide of Credit Card Theft

By working with the community and using all available resources and technologies, the BGPD hopes to quickly apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice. The arrest of these individuals will serve as a deterrent to others, potentially suppressing the rising tide of credit card theft in the city.

Residents are also reminded to always keep personal items and valuables secure, especially in public places, and to monitor financial transactions for any unusual activities. Reporting suspicious incidents or activities can also help prevent future crimes.
