Bowling Green, KY – Exciting things are happening for four lucky students at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC)! These budding professionals are set to take a giant leap into their careers by signing ‘Going Pro’ agreements with none other than the Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC). Yes, you heard that right! This is a big deal for these future Maintenance Technicians.
Now, you might be wondering, what exactly does AESC do? Well, this global giant is all about creating high-performance batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. As the world moves towards greener technology, AESC is at the forefront of the green revolution, continuously innovating and leading the way in battery manufacturing.
The partnership between AESC and SKYCTC isn’t just about signing agreements; it’s about creating a pathway for students to gain hands-on experience in a thriving industry. Through the Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship program, students will not only earn their degrees, but get to work alongside experts in the field!
So, what’s the deal? As students graduate, those who meet the attendance and grade requirements are offered full-time positions with AESC, giving them a chance to turn their education into a solid career! And while they’re still completing their studies, these students are diving into part-time roles at AESC, where they’ll earn up to 20 dollars an hour! Can you believe it?
The students set to sign these agreements have been working hard, completing their Associate’s in Applied Science Degree in Engineering and Electronics Technology, focusing on Robotics and Automation at SKYCTC. Their educational background has equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a highly tech-driven industry. It’s truly inspiring to see education and industry collaborate for the success of the next generation!
To celebrate this major milestone, there will be a ceremony on Thursday, December 19, at 2 p.m., held at the AESC offices located at 2413 Nashville Road. This is a momentous occasion not only for the students but also for the entire community to witness the growth of local talent stepping into an exciting industry.
