Brenda Gail Meador Mansfield Passes Away at Age 82

Bowling Green, KY – Brenda Gail Meador Mansfield, aged 82, passed away peacefully on October 11 at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Elwood, Indiana. Born in Bowling Green, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lucille Cantrell Meador.

A Life Dedicated to Family and Work

Brenda had a fulfilling life, spent largely in her hometown of Bowling Green. She was known for her strong work ethic, having retired as a seamstress from Fruit of the Loom, a well-respected company in the area. Over the years, she had woven not just fabric, but deep connections with family and friends.

As a devoted member of the Baptist community, Brenda’s faith played an important role in her life. She was a nurturing figure to her loved ones and instilled values of love and kindness in her family.

Survived by Family

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Morisa Lyyn “Reese” Mansfield Humphryes, and her son-in-law Rick. She was also a proud grandmother to her grandson, Jarrid Humphryes, who is married to Kasey. Together they blessed Brenda with two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Hunter, who brought joy to her life in her later years.

In addition to her immediate family, Brenda is also survived by her siblings: Patti Osborne (Robert), Winne Sue McDonald, Roger Meador (Kathy), Joe Meador, and Linda Moulder. Her family describes her as a loving and supportive presence who always offered guidance and encouragement.

Visitation and Services

Friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Following the visitation, a graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Wednesday at Whites Chapel Church Cemetery. This will give family and friends a chance to gather together in memory of Brenda, celebrating the life she lived.
