Warren County: Sheltered and Safe

Known for its outdoor wonders, Warren County also offers four dedicated parks with storm shelters – Ephram White Park, Phil Moore Park, Basil Griffin Park, and Michael Buchanon Park, all of which located in Bowling Green. Additionally, two fire stations in Plano and Alvaton offer storm shelters. Keeping essential and potential life-saving amenities close to the community adds to citizen’s well-being and safety measures.

Storm Shelters in Allen County

Allen County lists eight fire departments and stations with storm shelters, including Adolphus Fire Department Station#2, Cedar Springs Fire Department Stations#1 and #2, East Allen Fire Department, Halifax Volunteer Fire Department, Meador Community Fire Department, South Allen Fire Department, and Stony Point Volunteer Fire Department. The county lists several volunteer fire departments along with Doyle Park Site and Cave City Public Works Department as available locations for storm shelter. Metcalfe County Sheltered Areas

Metcalfe County offers a comprehensive list of storm shelters across different locations such as North Metcalfe VFD, Sulphur Well Methodist Church Road, Pleasant Valley Church Road, and Country Wy Ests, among others. With multiple shelters located in Edmonton and Summer Shade VFD, safety during severe weather is a priority for Metcalfe County as well.
