A Day of Festive Activities in Auburn

The City of Auburn, Kentucky, has invited the community to a day filled with Easter festivities scheduled for Saturday, March 30. Activities crafted for all age groups are on the agenda making this event an occasion for all Auburn residents and visitors to enjoy.

“We’ve got a fun day, a full day of a lot of stuff happening here in town,” said Rhonda Sullivan, Event Planner at Auburn Tourism.

5K Bunny Run and Children’s Egg Hunt

The slew of events begins at 9 a.m. with the 5K Bunny Run and Hop hosted by Auburn Healthcare. As the morning transforms into noon, the town will focus on its youngest members with a children’s egg hunt scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

Evening Entertainment and Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Auburn Tourism returns to the spotlight with an evening of entertainment beginning at 5 p.m. The atmosphere will be filled with live music performed by the No Deposit Band, while food trucks and local vendors like Carriage House Vineyards and White Squirrel Brewery ensure no one goes hungry or thirsty.

The highlight of the day, an Adult Easter Egg Hunt, will take place at 8 p.m. at McCutchen Park situated behind the Auburn Nursing Home. The hunt promises to be bigger and better than ever before with over 8000 eggs filled with exciting prizes.

“We have great prizes too. Our tickets are $35 for the regular ticket and that $35 includes a beverage of your choice. We also offer $30 designated driver tickets, which will include everything but the drink,” adds Sullivan.

Prizes and Commemorative T-shirts

The prizes for the egg hunt have been donated by local businesses and include items such as a 75-inch TV, gas fire pit, tools, beach kit, and kitchen items. Interestingly, there will also be cash prizes tucked away in other prizes.

This year, the event has introduced a special addition – commemorative T-shirts. Early registrants are eligible to receive these T-shirts.

“If you get your ticket before midnight, the 21st, which is this Thursday, you get a free T-shirt that goes along with it. It’ll be a great addition to the egg hunt.” Sullivan concluded.
