The City of Bowling Green Competes for Climate Pollution Reduction Grant
In an effort to combat the escalating effects of climate change, the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky, has put forward a Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP). The plan covers proposed measures to handle greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants harming the air quality. The initiative forms part of the city’s application to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for a grant aimed at reducing climate pollution.

The state of Kentucky declined the chance to apply for these implementation funds, resulting in the eligibility being passed to the three largest cities in the state – Bowling Green, Lexington, and Louisville. As Moore notes, he has held discussions with the sustainability offices of these cities, and they all share the goal of making the state greener.
