2024 Traffic Cabinet Art Contest Begs the Creative Flair of Bowling Green

Bowling Green, KY is ready to roll out the red carpet for artists with its vigorous 2024 Traffic Cabinet Art Contest. The Traffic Cabinet of Bowling Green (TCBG) has called upon all artists residing, working, or studying in Bowling Green or Warren County to yield their creative tools and design an artwork that the city can proudly showcase.

The Nitty-Gritty of the Contest

The submissions kick-off is slated to commence on June 21 by 4 p.m. CST. Please note that there’s a restriction on inputs, allowing a single entry per artist, and the creation must be an original piece. The winning pieces will be promptly replicated on vinyl and ornamented around traffic cabinets, gracing downtown Bowling Green.

What’s in it for the Artists?

Apart from the deserving $500 commission, five fortunate winners will get their hands on a General Motors Foundation Grant. The recipients will be handpicked by the Traffic Cabinet of Bowling Green based on the artistic appeal, creativity, and relevance of the designs making this a highly anticipated event in the local art circuit.

Application Process

The application process isn’t cumbersome. Artists are requested to forward their entries in either PDF or JPG file types to the email downtown@bgky.com. The digital entry form to be attached is available online for the applicants.
